Cannova Bronze Scarlet F1 from Takii is the earliest flowering seed-raised Canna on the market. Growers will love this variety because it can be grown at only 15 degrees and only 1 plug is needed to fill a 15cm pot. This compact variety can be delivered in 12cm pots and bigger. Bronze Scarlet will easily convince consumers at point of sale thanks to the wonderful contrast between the dark foliage and the red flower. Cannova can be placed in larger pots on the terrace or patio, or planted in the full ground or at the water side.

Fleuroselect's Entries & Evaluations Committee has appointed a new Chair. Departing Chairman Cees van Diepen has been a Committee member since 1991, chairing the Committee twice: in the nineties when he was Fleuroselect vice-president and for the last three years.

With the FlowerTrials approaching, the FleuroStar Contest is gearing up for its fifth edition. Over thirty judges will visit the eight competition locations to choose the new winner. This year, no less than eight contestants are competing to succeed to Verbena Lanai Twister Red and to become the Winner with the Wow-effect for the 2013-2014 season.
